Keys to Happiness – Tips from the Anxiety Control Center

People come the the Anxiety Control Center for help with anxiety, panic and stress. They also come with questions about how to find happiness.   So for the next 6 posts I’ll give you a quick “thumb nail” sketch of the way I have found to gain happiness, no matter what is going on in your life.  Even if you are still suffering from anxiety, or insomnia, or depression these tips will work for you.

KEYS TO HAPPINESS
Key 1: Know that changing our responses to stressors takes some effort.

Key 2: Learn how to take one tiny step at a time. For that is all it takes.
Key 3: Give yourself credit for what you do.

I had a client who did a task that was a very stressful one for her.  But, instead of giving herself positive statements on how good it felt to get it done, or recognizing that it was a load off of her mind to have this task done, she told herself she shouldn’t have done it, it was the wrong choice for that day.

Tomorrow we’ll see how she changed this negative thinking and also get Key 4:
